May My Heart be the Garden

Good Morning.

Today while I was out watering,  I thought about how these flowers bring glory to God. They are doing exactly what they are created and designed to do. Nothing more, nothing less. They bring beauty to our world just by blooming and growing. And they do it season after season. They endure summers hot blasting heat, then the winters bitter cold and then they begin again. They return and multiply each year with the same enthusiasm. I desire to serve our Lord Jesus, with this same enthusiasm as these flowers.

We can certainly learn valuable lessons from flowers. Just by looking at the garden where these flowers grow, and knowing the climate and the soil.

Years ago The Lord really spoke to me about how flowers bloom to the glory of God. He didn’t speak in an audible voice, it was if I heard it in my spirit. I had never thought about flowers blooming to bring God glory. They do it simply by being and doing what they were created to do. God revealed to me if I wanted to bring glory to Him, I should discover and seek Him for what I was designed to do. Then do what I was designed to do with all my heart.

I pray we are growing and blooming to the glory of God and that our heart’s are full of His love. A place He can call home.

Thanks for listening with me.

May my heart be the garden
A place where Your love grows,
Shielded and guarded,
from all life’s throws.

A freshly watered garden,
saturated in Your truth,
Soil so tendered
attentive, never aloof.

A heart so full, yet craving
what is pure and true,
So that in my life
It is Your light shining through.

Make my heart Your garden,
where Your love is enthroned.
My heart Your beautiful garden,
The place You call Your home!

James 1:27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

Proverbs 12:11 He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, But he who pursues worthless things lacks sense.
