She is America

She is older now more stately
Lived through a thing or two
More than once she was mishandled
Her dignity now being skewed

The party well it was amazing
Fireworks for several days
What a perfect celebration
Oh the festivities and display

Another birthday behind her
She maintains her youthful look
More beautiful than ever
Keeping her shape in spite of abuse she took

I ponder how she feels
Continuing forward in her endeavor
Brought forth with a desired purpose
God’s plans she knows endure forever

Her call, her role, her image
Over time dimmed and marred
I am believing for her comeback
Her purpose we’ll not discard

She is America The Beautiful
Under spacious skies she dwells
Arduous yet defined
Groaning I shall not render my soil to hell

I came forth in mighty vision
It is not time to thwart my purpose
I am One Nation under God
Demanding Habeas Corpus

The Judge will see and hear
God Almighty is my defender
Now sit down yes take a seat
Listen to the verdict He will render
