Oh Sweet Season

The 5th of Elul, Teshuvah.

A set time, Kairos, opportune time, appointed time.

The tender wooing, the drawing, the invitation, an inner witness, now is the time. Expectation of the unseen, promise and hope collide, heaven visiting earth, He’s near, the Visitor…

Oh Sweet Season
(Excerpt)

So repent, Pray for revival
Weep and intercede
For We shall come rejoicing
Bringing in the sheaves!

To answer! Teshuvah, a word often translated as “repentance,” though it’s more accurately understood as turning back (shuv) to God. In Modern Hebrew teshuvah means an “answer” to a shelah, or a question.

We see a beautiful picture of Teshuvah in Luke, chapter 15, when the prodigal son awakens, comes to his senses. He realizes how far he is from the Father’s house and begins “preparing” to return. What the prodigal expects to find isn’t what he receives.

Teshuvah is to answer or RSVP and accept the invitation, begin the journey home, back to our soul. Driven by the desire and a longing to be made whole; mind, will and emotions.

Awake to righteousness, to our original design; made in the image and likeness of our Heavenly Father and Creator God.

Elul, the King is in the field, leaving the palace to come and walk among His people.

Teshuvah, our season of spiritual rehabilitation.

He restores my soul, Psalm 23

Acts 26:18
to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Me.

Teshuvah blessings, laurette

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon and be gracious to you. The Lord cause His countenance to rise upon you and give you Shalom.

Until next time, thanks for listening with me, Laurette

  1. “Begin the journey home, back to our soul ” Beautiful explanation and truth, Laurette 💜 I wonder if the change in the seasons, the touch of cool in the morning air helps stir the desire to repent, turn back, renew our relationship with the Father. Beautiful 🙏🧡
