And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. (Roman’s 8:28 NKLV)
I didn’t get all I needed
But it isn’t as bad as I thought
Because I now realize
Not earthly but the arms of God I sought
I didn’t have it easy
Struggles were part of my days
Oh but have I mentioned
It is what drove me along the way
The way of life I decided
Was hard and part of my lot
But when the scriptures came alive
I saw the fight I fought
God was never withholding
Nor keeping me at arm’s length
No! It is Satan, mankind’s enemy
Attempting to wear out my strength
So it is with all of my tomorrows
As it is with my today’s
When I open my bible and read
In prayer I hear The Master say
This is part of the wilderness journey
It’s part of His Master Plan
It is His way of leading
While guiding us with His hand
If we never had a struggle
If never our hearts did break
We wouldn’t have need of a Savior
Nor understand the road He did take
For when I discern the brokenness
Eye Witness of shattered dreams
It is for me to become compassionate
Reaching for prayers that silence the screams
For with struggles and the trials
The brokenness and pain
I’m reminded of the simple truth
It is all for His gain
For I have not chosen Ye
You chose me even before
The foundations were even laid
My days ordained and more
So as I walk this walk
And continue on to know
Teach me Lord what you have for me
and how I am to go
For I know not the plans you gave
Your ways much higher and grand
Lead me as You guide me now
Walk me into Your perfect plan
Leading me as I go
Heading straight toward my assignment
Staying to the way
That keeps me in alignment
Teach us to understand
That pain is helping to unfurl
We are chosen and have been destined
before the foundation of the world

Pansies can take root in the most unexpected places with just a tiny bit of soil. Hard places often are where we bloom.
God keep us grateful and fruitful no matter the trials we encounter knowing that all things work together for good to those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. You give us beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning. Let us overcome evil with good and pray for the condition of our Nation. Amen
God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you and give you Shalom.
Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette
