The work You are perfecting in our inner being is also a process that requires time. Thank you Father for seasons, seasons that allow us to mature and to grow.
There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens. Ecclesiastes 3:1
Summer now lingering
Trying hard not to leave
Warmer than usual temps
Have continued to cleave
Does Summer have love
Can Summer relate
Is Summer not wanting
To be replaced
Why this struggle
To move past this heat
It this a sign
Of slow moving feet
Isn’t this like our Father
Teaching us to desire
Does He demonstrate how
Transition can inspire
We must tire of one
While longing for the other
Before we appreciate
Newness of another
For seasons come
And seasons will go
Moving effortlessly
Tirelessly seemingly slow
So as we embrace
Become ready for new
I feel the excitement
Grandeur views
Fall is on the verge
Of taking up residence
As least for a few days
Newness and excitement, without hesitance
Jackets and sweaters
Closed toed shoes with socks
Temperatures are changing
YES retire those flip flops
Summer will relent
And turn into Fall
Have I mentioned
This is my favorite of all
Oh wait that was Winter
No Summer now Spring
I love all the seasons
Each entrance and delivery
We shall learn from each season
With hearts open wide
Beautiful Fall temperatures
Now coming to reside
Nature is changing
While remaining steadfast
Seasonal advantages
Enjoy them while they last

Father teach us how to discern and embrace changes. Show us what You desire for us to let go of. As we watch the earthly seasons change, teach us to embrace the changes You are making in our lives. Help us realize that change does not and will not occur instantly, but change will surely happen in the process of time working inside of time. Just as day gradually turns into dusk, and summer transitions into Fall, so the work of Your hands is done sometimes gently while allowing us to yearn for the newness we sense, but also may come like a brisk North wind summoning and announcing sudden change. May we be instant in season and out of season, ready to stand on Your word, teaching, admonishing, warning others while encouraging with utmost patience.
God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you and give you Shalom.
Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette
