For if each day were the same
How boring and exhausting would that be
Is this why God has placed us in time
Motion and change to grow and believe
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. (Psalm 90:2)
This morning offers a cold
New change we haven’t felt
Not this year or season
No not even yet
First cold day of the season
Calling us to light the fires
Time to dress more warmly
Pull out the warm winter attire
Isn’t the first always the best
When we are so delighted
It’s like wow we have never
And we become so excited
But as it settles and stays
Why do we lose the sense of newness
Somehow we become less enthralled
Old hat treating it as a nuisance
Today I hope we choose
To enjoy as we embrace
The changes as they come
The differences we face
For if each day were the same
How boring and exhausting would that be
Is this why God has placed us in time
Motion to change to grow and believe
And if we pay attention
Each season heralds a story
Speaking about eternity
While describing God and His glory
We know the heavens declare
The mountains and hills will sing
The oceans yes they roar
The sun reminds us a time for everything
The moon now set for seasons
The stars tell stories in the night
What is about the sounds
Crackling fires with bright light
Yes if nothing ever changed
How dreary bland and bleak
So let us set our hearts to enjoy
As we listen and the earth speaks
Showing us our Creator
And to tell of all His glory
Because with each change
He is telling His story
Give me ears that hear
And eyes that I may see
Open my mind to only
What You can make me conceive (1 Corinthians 2:9) it is revealed to those who love Him.

Romans 1:20 (NLT)
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
