1 Corinthians 2:9
Forward Thrust
I love the rustling of the leaves
I’m not sure but I believe
Gentle reminder
The One who Sees
See’s it all
Know’s the more
He isn’t mocked
Here before
Whispering breeze
Reminder to trust
The still small voice
Like forward thrust
At time of take off
Warning signs appear
Higher level
New atmosphere
Buckle up
Remain in your seat
Seat upright
Steady your feet
This was the message
At morning’s light
Prepared in advance
Time for new heights

I’m not a world traveler, yet. As I penned this poem, sparked by the rustling of the leaves in the morning breeze, my thoughts took off, (pun intended), lol. This sound captivates me, morning, afternoon or evening, season after season. Yesterday, early evening, when returning home, I said Greg, listen. He stopped saying what? I said the leaves, do you hear that? He smiled, maybe thinking I’m crazy, but this morning I realize the stirring in me.
I have never met anyone on a flight who didn’t plan to be there and didn’t know they were changing, or exchanging one location for a new location. We do not board a plane by happenstance or by mistake. The checks and balances required make sure of it. Are airplanes filled with people who didn’t make plans ahead of time? No! Of course not. Flights are planned, tickets secured, bags are packed, passports ready, and we must show up at the ticket counter, proof of identity in hand and tickets ready for viewing.
Couldn’t we presume and suppose to be true without proof, that God in His infinite wisdom is more cautious and particular than an airline? Yet, Isn’t it the same in kingdom advancement? As we prepare for new places of authority, in the Spirit, we begin from different locations. I love how simply The Lord used an aircraft and thrust this morning to speak to me.
The flight is called, boarding has begun, time to prepare for take off, and those with a ticket can board.
I am not speaking of or eluding to the rapture, we have “much” work to do before we leave. We are not going to escape while leaving others behind. How unchristian and selfish! That would be escapism and the apostle Peter, who knows tells us, our God is long suffering not wanting any to perish, 2nd Peter 3:9.
Think of the diversity inside an airplane. There are spouses, family’s, crying babies (ha never had a flight without one, even my own), old and young, singles, friends, brothers, sisters, newly wedded, divorced now relocating…and the list goes on. There are dreams, vacations, new jobs, deployments and yes funerals to attend…
beginning from a vast array of differences but once we board we can be certain we have one thing in common, the location.
God had plans for His Ekklesia in the coming days, weeks, months and years. Each of us are given an opportunity to secure our seat called destiny. We do not want to be late or miss our flight.
As we prepare and continue to seek His Face for our future assignments I know this, it cannot be done apart from His will and Aligning with His ways.
Be not deceived the Lord is not mocked. What so ever a man soweth that also will he reap. You are now responsible for making reservations, securing the ticket…yes and for even packing your bags.
Check your itinerary for location and destination. It is not to late to make needed changes and corrections.
I see our Lord, Jesus Christ, at the ticket counter, encouraging upgrades, go first class at His expense. He covered the cost in advance, all you need to do is speak up and show up!
“This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store for all [who love Him] His lovers (not lusters) ”
(1 Corinthians 2:9 TPT).
brackets and parentheses my changes.
Our God is faithful!
God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord cause His countenance to rise upon you and give you Shalom.
Until next time, thank you for listing with me. Laurette
