A Christmas Heart

My prayer is that we make time for Christmas this year. With all the festivities and games, the plans and the parties, may we never lose our zeal and passion, nor take our eyes off of “The Gift” of JESUS, our MESSIAH, the HOPE, the LIGHT, the JOY, the LOVE of Christmas.

A Christmas Heart

Can you feel it in your heart
Christmas time- a special part
Consolation has come for Israel
That Prophets of old did foretell

dec34565-60db-4dfb-8318-caf3a34ded99

Do you feel Him in your heart
Immanuel, Salvations start
Gabriel’s news to Mary he gave
Birth of Messiah, born to save

God has come in flesh to dwell
Heavens glory did show and tell
About Messiah and His entrance
A virgin shall give birth, to His preeminence

Hearts will break, on bended knee
Giving thanks when they believe
The time had come for God’s own plan
Eternity set in the heart of man

No more to sing Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel
The Lord was born at Migdol Eder
He has come to save us from our sin
Of His kingdom there shall be no end

Isaiah 9:6 NIV
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Luke 1-31-33 NKJV
And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Merry Christmas 🎄laurette

What makes this the most Wonderful time of the year? It is because this is the time we set aside each year to worship the birth of our Savior.

We are reminded by the lights, the sounds, and the smells, that Christmas is in the air.

Maybe we should remember to make this the most Worshipful time of the year. I pray we never get caught up in the festivities, and lose sight of the meaning of the season. We’ve heard and we know, Jesus is the reason for the season, but what about the meaning of Christmas.

By faith Wise men followed His star, looking for Him who is born King of the Jews. Saying we have come to worship Him.

The star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they came into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother and fell down and worshipped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold frankincense and myrrh. (Matthew 2:9-11)

They searched for many months, Jesus was a young child and He and Mary were in a house, not in the stable. Exceedingly great joy, They worshipped and presented their gifts to Him.

Months of searching, when they found Him, seeing His star, they fell down and worshipped Him.

Yes it is the most worshipful time of the year.

This makes me think of the lyrics to the song:

Behold your beautiful Savior, fall down worship Him the King born in Bethlehem.

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord cause His countenance to rise upon you and give you Shalom.

Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette
