These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 KJV)
Get our Nose Outta the News
Get our nose outta the news
Put the word before our eyes
Then we’ll have nothing to fear
But expose the enemy’s lies
If you are in fear
Know you crossed the line
God equips and warns of danger
Fear cripples the mind
The GOOD NEWS speaks peace
Not because the world has rest
It is a covenant [HESED] promise
To us, His people we are blessed
Take some good news today
And share with those in fear
The Lord assures He overcomes the world
Said to us “BE OF GOOD CHEER”

As I was praying this poem and thought came. I was reminded of road trips when we were kids. The kids piled into the back of my aunt and uncles station wagon. On the way to our destination we would get antsy and start asking, how much further, how long till we get there, are we almost there?
We even packed sandwiches and drinks in a cooler, stopping along the way, taking a break to stretch our legs and of course get the impatient kiddos out of the car so we could run some of that energy off. I remember picnic tables on the roadside without other fanfare, just a little place to stop and refresh. Life was simpler, and much safer in those days for sure.
If we had parents who were engaged, there might be games to occupy the time and keep our minds busy. Games like I spy, the famous quiet game, or license plate bingo.
In the above verse, from the gospel of John, I hear our Loving Father say, “don’t worry we will be there before you know It.” I have a great idea, how about we play I spy. Or how many cars can you name? The Father knows the time really isn’t the issue, the child’s anxious and impatient nature is the issue.
I can hear The Master saying, “be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Don’t get anxious, I Am The Name above every name.
I know we’ll be back normal before we know it.
Since 2018, I’ve sensed The Lord, calling us back to foundational truths. Understanding what is real and valuable in His eyes. In a vision, I saw The Lord Jesus facing the North. His arms were stretched out, with His right hand holding Israel, at Jerusalem, and His left hand holding the USA, at Washington DC. Each of these cities hold historical records in the ground from these very places where our countries were dedicated to The One True God. I know God hears the cry of His covenant people.
This vision reminded me Isaiah 53. The chastisement of our peace is upon Him or upon His shoulders. We cannot expect to have peace apart from a relationship with our Savior. Jesus has called His body to battle and get into right alignment. I knew He was saying it is time to get back to foundational truths. Thy word is truth.
The USA was birthed, raised up and blessed, to defend and help Israel and our Jewish brothers and sisters. Because of the blessing of Abraham through his ‘Seed’ which is Christ; Christians are grafted in to the promise of Abraham.
As Christians this is truly the most exciting, turbulent, shaking, stirring time to be alive. But we must remember we are the generation He has chosen for this time.
I leave you with this verse from the Gospel of Luke 12:28-32 The Passion Translation- O struggling one with so many doubts; I repeat it: Don’t let worry (fear) enter your life. Live above the anxious cares about your personal needs. Your heavenly Father knows every need and will take care of you. Each and every day He will supply your needs as you seek His kingdom passionately above all else. So don’t ever be afraid, dearest friends! Your loving Father joyously gives you His kingdom realm with all its promise. Amen
God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord cause His countenance to rise upon you and give you Shalom.
Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette
