A trip to the garden
This morning at dawn
A cup of coffee…
Out to the lawn
What did I see
Behold the new
Watering all
First blooms in view
I want to be a popcorn
Bunch of roses
Each a surprise
Fragrant poses
Pink, yellow, corral
Cream and white
All from the same
A beautiful sight
Is it yellow
Or maybe orange
Mum’s first bloom
Is being reborn

Transplanted or bare
Roots grabbing hold
New ground taken
Let go of the old
Early trip to the garden
This morning at dawn
Learning from flowers
How to press on
Seemed muggy and hot
When I first began
Now cool and fresh
Do you see the plan
Prayers like water
Faith like rain
Rise and pray
It is not in vain

“God always makes his grace visible in Christ, who includes us as partners of his endless triumph. Through our yielded lives he spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere we go. We have become the unmistakable aroma of the victory of the Anointed One to God—a perfume of life to those being saved and the odor of death to those who are perishing.”
2 Corinthians 2:14-15 TPT
