The Week of His Passion

Time is of the Essence! There are seasons, opportunities, set times, decisions that must be made, provisions that require obligations, contracts to be signed, expressing “the need for timely completion”, i.e. has a set time!

Knowing His appointed time was near; under intense stress and strain, our Lord didn’t leave one detail undone.

“Our Father who art in Heaven”…

Always has, Always will, never left us, never will.

In this season of The Lord’s Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread and during the Holy Week, I pray we make time to reflect on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and His absolute faithfulness! His faithfulness to The Father secured the way for us to come home.

Jesus Christ came to show us The Father. How good, how kind, how merciful, how long suffering, and oh how willing!

Hallowed be Thy Name…

The Week of His Passion

Now the week of His passion
They surely wanted Him dead
How to carry out this evil,
Keep the crowd going ahead

They wanted to avoid a riot
trying to cover up their scheme
It was the time of Passover celebration
Thousands gathering, the crowd could turn mean

Jesus went about cleansing the temple
Delivering all the woes
They desired even more
His life to simply dispose

He gave attention to last details
Instructing His disciples to follow
Unleavened bread, bread of affliction
Isn’t He called the Man of sorrows

The last supper, Passover meal
He stood to boldly proclaim
He uncovered the way and the plan
His body and blood our claim

Jesus said, “This cup is my blood
Blessed and poured out for you,
When you drink it remember
for as often as you do.”

Seeking to take His life,
How foolish could they be
It wasn’t theirs to take
He would lay it down willingly

Through all the pain He never spoke
His life was not His own
He and The Father made this plan
His will and His alone

Behold I make all things new;
His heart and mind steadfast
But they didn’t understand
they needed Him gone, and fast

Thinking to do away with Him
Get this hushed away
Only later to realize
Behold, Salvation’s Way

Through the scourging and berating
brutality and pain
for the joy set before Him
At the Cross, He endured the shame

The week of His Passion
Free will offering poured out
He laid down His life, gave His all
Now we know without a doubt

His perfect work was finished
We now have our place,
Secured for all who believe
Until we see Him face to face

Passover Blessings, The Blood Poured Out For The Remission Of Our Sins!

Sin sent Jesus Christ to the Cross. God’s love in action!

“Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”…

Available to all who ask!

Our Lord will return as Righteous Judge.

Our God who’s love is perfect also hates vehemently! Perfect love must hate evil! We must remember this! With His first commandment God reminds, them and us, I Am the the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of bondage.

God hates sin! But, He loves His people caught and entangled in sin, so much so that He came in the form of a man and died in our place. Call out to be delivered.

“For Thine is the kingdom and the power forever and ever”…

Don’t miss this season. Time is of the Essence!

Amen!

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord cause His countenance to rise upon you and give you Shalom.

Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette
