Could This Be The Messiah

Are you thirsty?

Jesus first ‘telling’ of His being the Messiah, was to a woman and a Samaritan woman at that.

If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water. The woman said to Him, Sir you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do get that living water? (John 4:10-11)

Could This Be The Messiah

From the Grace Series

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
At that very moment
I dropped my empty water pot
My heart had been completely filled
What I imagined not what I thought

When He first began to speak
I could not make sense of His talk
Speaking and asking of me a drink
A Samaritan woman out of wedlock

He continued to teach and explain
He told me all the things I had done
The sins the pain the rejection
While naming them all one by one

Others had simply shunned
Naming and shaming my condition
Maybe He is indeed a prophet
Something about Him seems so different

“If you knew gift of God” He said
You’d ask of Me a Drink
He didn’t even have a dipper
Strange comment what was I to think

How can You give me this water Sir
That I may never thirst again
Oh tell me now I beg
While we talked He began

Asking again personal questions
But I answered honestly never the less
For I perceived this man a prophet
He knew so I didn’t have to guess

I told Him Messiah was coming
And He could explain everything to us
It seemed we didn’t understand
And I really didn’t come to fuss

He opened His mouth declared “I Am He”
At that moment they began to gush
Eternal Springs of Living Water
Oh to tell the others, yes I must

He told me first, a woman
before His trial, Exclaiming I Am He
The eternal well of Salvation has come
to my town through a Samaritan, and a woman, me

When we shall worship in the Spirit and truth
A time is coming and now has, He said
Worshipping the Father in The Spirit and truth
Bringing back to life what was once thought dead

“The woman then left her water pot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” Then they went out of the city and came to Him.”
(John 4:28-30 NKJV)

Reading this account we realize that the men of her city must have believed she was condemned also. Verse 39 says many Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.”

On Holy Tuesday, the conspiracies to trap Jesus were heightened. They wanted rid of Jesus, even conspiring with Judas to betray Jesus.

And Jesus was talking with the woman at the well. One we know was shunned by the other women. Most women came to the well with their water pots to draw water in the morning while it was cool. This woman was there at the lunch hour.

What an encounter, what a transformation of an entire town, What A Savior. Jesus seeing her thirst, addressed her thirst. He knew her real thirst was for living water. Are you thirsty? She would never thirst again.

Jesus did not hesitate to tell this woman about living water. Jesus disciples marveled that He talked with a woman.  Yet not one asked why He was talking to her. In Jewish custom  the testimony of a woman was not trustworthy. However Jesus puts this to rest also.

Jesus stepped over customs and boundaries, showing compassion and kindness to women of all walks of life during His earthly ministry.

In all of the Gospels, women disciples are the first witnesses to His Resurrection. Jesus acknowledges the voice and the gift of many women during His earthly ministry. I urge women everywhere to speak up and be bold. We should boldly proclaim what Jesus has done for us. The nameless Samaritan woman becomes the first female evangelist and a town was changed. We are called to be change agents, Jesus saw and acknowledged and sets us free to use the gifts He has given us, still today. I pray we never hide our gifts.

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance on you and give you Shalom.

Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette

The Week of His Passion

How did Jesus’ anguish on the cross come to be known as His Passion, and now known as The Week of His Passion? The Greek word for suffering, is Pascho. This is where we get the word ‘passion’. Passion is one of the strongest human emotions God has shared with mankind, being made in His image and likeness, we are given passion. Suffering, Pascho meaning;  especially suffering, affected, experiencing feeling. A feeling of the mind, emotion, or passion.

The Week of His Passion

The Week of His Passion

Now the week of His passion
How they wanted Him dead
How to carry out this evil
Keep the crowd going ahead

They wanted to avoid a riot
Trying to cover up their scheme
It was the Passover celebration
Thousands gathering, the crowd could turn mean

With the raising of Lazarus

The people completely convinced

They would kill him too

That is how to keep this miracle silenced

Jesus went about cleansing the temple
Delivering to them the woes
They desired even more
His life to quickly dispose

He gave attention to last details
Instructing His disciples to follow
Unleavened bread, bread of affliction
Isn’t He called the Man of sorrows

The last supper, The Passover meal
He stood while He boldly proclaimed
He uncovered the way and the plan
His body and blood our claim

Jesus said, “This cup is my blood
Poured out for you,
When you drink it remember
for as often as you do.”

They seeking to take His life
How foolish could they be
It wasn’t theirs to take
He would lay it down willingly

Through all the pain He didn’t speak
His life was not His own
He and God made this plan
His will and His alone

Behold I make all things new;
His heart and mind steadfast
But they didn’t understand
They needed Him gone, and fast
Thinking to do away with Him
Wanting this hushed away
Only later to realize
Behold, Salvation’s Way!

Through the scourging and berating
Brutality and pain
For the joy set before Him
Face set, He endured the shame

The week of His Passion
Body broken and blood poured out
He laid down His life and gave His all
Now we know without a doubt

His perfect work was finished
And we do have our place
Secured for all who believe
Until we see Him face to face

Holy Monday- Following His arrival into Jerusalem during Palm Sunday the people shouted and proclaiming, Hosanna. By shouting and singing they offered praise, adoration, and  full belief that Jesus was The Messiah. Now all the people knew who He was and why He had come. Jesus came riding in on a donkey, showing He was a benevolent King. He came to offer salvation and to open the way, offering redemption through His blood.

Did you know? In the Ancient Near East the custom was for the king to enter cities on a warhorse in order to convey his military power and authority. If the cities were newly conquered, this was to show his rule to govern and his authority to rule. This is also true if the city and the residents doubt his authority or if they believe he is usurping authority. Think about this in light of;

11*  Now I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse, And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

12* His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.

13* He was clothed in a robe dipped in blood and His name is called The Word of God.

14*  And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Revelation 19:11-14

The exception to this custom was when a beloved king entered his own capitol city. If it was his city he would ride in on a donkey as the benevolent king. Riding in on the donkey conveyed he was their caring and compassionate king.

On Monday Jesus going into the synagogue fulfilled a prophecy. “Then Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling doves.” (Matthew 21:12)

And He said unto them, It is written, “My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves.”  Isaiah 56:7;  Jeremiah 7:11

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The lift up His countenance on you and give you Shalom.

Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette

In The Pruning

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch that does not bear fruit He takes away, and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. (John 15:1-2NKJV)

In The Pruning Abiding in “The Vine”

img_4965

In the pruning, fear, uncertainty ahead
No hope for my future. Look!  It is dead
Cutting away the branches, in fear I shuttered
why are You are You killing me? Quietly I muttered

Taking away everything You know, I need
What? I don’t have time to begin again from seed
It’s not over You say, this is my new beginning
Back to the basics, Lord why are You grinning

Why does this seem to make You smile
I’m uncovered, alone, exposed, during this trial
I get the feeling this was planned for me
Lord what is it You are wanting me to see

Then something began I couldn’t understand
A newness deep in my roots springing up from the land
I sensed blossoms and blooms with the rising of the sap
As if I was awakening from a long winters nap
img_8071
Would anyone believe to ever see
That My Perfect Gardner is not angry with Me
Only insuring I would bear much fruit in time
but in this season, good fruit, fruit from “The Vine.”

Saying OK, go ahead kill me if You must
I want to know wholeness and to fully trust
That what You said will become reality
The dreams and the promises, pruned into finality

So cut away anything hindering production
I will abide in “The Vine” during reduction
Though You slay me I will believe and trust
You are merciful and good, and never unjust

but I have a question Lord, if I may ask;
did You believe in me, prior to this task?
That I could make it and not quit or faint
Your Spirit poured into me, without restraint (Zechariah 4:6)

When I was a bud beginning to grow
What I was to become, did You already know

img_8264

When I was just blossom adorning this tree
Did You see what I was destined to be

Now on to grow and to become mature
This is going to take some time, that’s for sure
In maturing is where I’ll become tender and sweet
while young, before ripening, dry, bitter and incomplete.
cropped-spring-peaches-72.jpg
The process is priceless with inconceivable riches
while abiding in “The Vine” becoming ripe and nutritious
“My Perfect Gardner did study to know
the climate the soil where best I would grow.” (excerpt form a poem I wrote in 2007)

So I continue by abiding in “The Vine,”
Remaining steadfast by spending time.
His desire is that I bear much fruit,
Attached to “The Vinedresser” at the root!

Never fear your pruning season
He has greater things ahead this is the reason.
So rest and recover, gather calm during transition
Our Perfect Gardner is pruning you safely to fruition.

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon and be gracious to you. God cause His countenance to rise upon you and give you Shalom.

I pray you continue to bloom to the glory of God and that you never fear the pruning process, or the many seasons, especially your winter seasons. In order for fruit trees to mature, and grow, and bear more fruit, they must endure many seasons. The seasons have varying temperatures and conditions; drought, rain, wind, lightening, hail and cold dark dormant times. Yet each of these are what help the tree yield it precious fruit. And you also shall yield precious fruit fit for The Master, if you surrender to the process.  You will be pruned and you shall bear fruit, if you continue to abide in The Vine.

I thought I would surely die in the beginning. It wasn’t that I wasn’t saved, it was that I had never made Jesus The Lord of my life. He was my Savior but I sure wasn’t bearing fruit from “The Vine” While allowing myself to be pruned, the cutting away of my codependent (fear based) attachments and idols was frightening. But somewhere deep inside, I had a hope, and somehow I knew it was Him. So I surrendered and the rest is still growing. I thought for sure I couldn’t make it, But God.

Jesus said “Abide in Me, and I in you, As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”  (John 15:4 NKJV)

Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette

God Whisper’s

5e30be59-5c60-47e9-84d1-7b0ff5947fbc

When I don’t know what to do

I hear You whisper, ‘be still’

In that whisper I understand Your voice

I answer, “I know You will”

When my heart is scared

Again that sickening sense of dread

I am so grateful for Your whisper

Shhh; in You Father, my fears fall dead

img_8069

Your whisper causes me to lean

Enter into Your personal space

I am reminded You invited me here

For an intimate encounter, face to face

Your word is Your bond

My safe tower and protective hedge

Never fear just continue on

Summons me onward to the edge

Whisper again Father

As I ignore the wind and rain

For in Your very being

I find the peace to just refrain

Refrain from fear and the doubt

Remind myself You are God

And what you have began

Cannot return unto you void

It shall accomplish what You please

Prosper in what You have purposed

As long as I stay close to You

Reminded of what You purchased

So gentle like the early rains

Soft like a spring time breeze

When I hear Your whisper

Relax and rest just breathe

For when the time is right

Until then just press on and prepare

For eye has not seen You whisper to me

All that I have for you there

“but just as it is written [in Scripture], “T HINGS WHICH THE EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND THE EAR HAS NOT HEARD, A ND WHICH HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, A LL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE H IM [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, who obey Him, and who gratefully recognize the benefits that He has bestowed].”

(1 CORINTHIANS 2:2, 9 AMP)

Can you identify?

Trying to figure things out can get us out of balance or land us in a rut.

If our schedules get too busy, we can lose our sense of balance also. Balance is a function of the inner ear. I am a logical person, so when something doesn’t make sense it can throw me off balance.

Isn’t it nice when life makes sense? You know those brief moments of time where we can catch our breath and think ok, I can go again. But we know that too often life doesn’t make sense, and the need for conflict resolution is required, in order to restore balance. What can we do if others do not see the need for this action?

How many relationships have been lost due to fear of confrontation? The place of conflict is often an unfamiliar and an uncomfortable place. So it goes the way of way passivity or ‘Christians being nice’ which is actually deadly. Passivity or to be passive is not a safe place. It is like a land mine buried in shallow ground, just under the surface waiting to blow.

As mature Christians we need to be strong and be willing to address issues as they arise. So how many people have been hurt? Or worse yet entire relationships destroyed and lost due to fear of confrontation?  I believe the answer is many more than we would like to admit. The truth is; either I value myself and the comfort I find in my limited belief system, above the relationship, or I value the relationship enough to fight for it. The fight may involve challenges to my old way of thinking. But more important it just might unearth and root out some old ways of thinking. Old ways of thinking that are sabotaging and destroying the very things I desire. I bet we have all  heard this saying,  “Stinking Thinking.”

I want to clarify that I am not making references to dishonest people, or people with deceptive practices. That is a completely different subject matter. I am not talking about accepting liars, cheats, or scammers and suggesting there can be resolution with them. Only liars can get along with liars, cheats with cheats, etc. They need to honestly repent before there can be any hope of having dealings with this kind of people.

If something is off or out of balance, I need clarity and resolution. This need is very important to me and I am sure I am not the only one. I like at least, to be able to have an intelligent conversation about the subject. I don’t have to like it, but I like to think I am valuable enough to warrant issues being resolved. When issues are shrouded in secrecy all my flags go up.

There were and are many things I valued about my time working for Concord Hospitality Group. I must say today there was one thing that stands out that I believe helped me grow and become a better communicator. It was handling conflict and my accountability to others.

In upper management it was never ok or tolerated to walk away from issues without both sides understanding, or at least attempting to understand the why, and the what. We were required to hold in store weekly manager meetings, there were conference calls, emails, conventions, check in calls or visits from bosses doing a heart check. Asking questions was not only allowed it was encouraged and expected. How else can we understand if we cannot get our questions answered? And listening was crucial. If someone makes a decision and then cannot, or will not discuss why that certain decision was made, I immediately wonder what the motives behind the decisions are. It makes me question the integrity of the person or people keeping the secret. But I also now believe looking back from healed old damage this behavior has the propensity to make others feel like they are wrong or not good enough. I realize we are not responsible for others feelings, but we are responsible to others in all kinds of relationships.

The lack of honest feedback reeks of insecurity to me. So when someone doesn’t know how to discuss hard issues, I totally get it. It isn’t easy. We need to learn how to have conversations and develop communication skills. In the early stages this can be and usually is, extremely awkward and uncomfortable. But communication is necessary. When others are not comfortable and and avoid discussions that lead to clarity this throws me off balance. If motives are pure and upright and honesty is at the core, then what is the problem, right? When dealing with people of God, especially those who say they hold to Christian values, and these issues come up, it makes no sense to me. Actually it breaks my heart. This shouldn’t be among Christians.

God isn’t hiding, God isn’t keeping secrets, and God isn’t making quick secretive knee jerk reactions and decisions without valid reasons, and neither should we!  God made Himself accessible through Jesus Christ, and now  His ways are available for all of mankind. He even had them written down and recorded them in a book, making His higher thoughts and His higher ways available, to whosoever will.

Psalm 51:6 Behold, You delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. So. God desires truth in our inward being. God doesn’t look at the outward appearance like man does. The inner (inward) ear is the place of balance. I don’t think these are coincidences. This morning during my prayer time these two truths collided and came together.

God desires truth in our inward man or inner being. I was reminded of something. The inner ear is where balance functions. So hearing and understanding what God intends is crucial for mankind to have a balanced Christ centered life.

There is fluid chamber in the inner ear. If I understand correctly what I read, this area resembles a level and functions in much the same way. If the fluid gets out of balance we can have the feeling or sensation of dizziness. Our outward conditions didn’t become shaky it is an inward or internal imbalance. As I was thinking about the function of the inner ear and the inward heart or being of man, I see a direct correlation that explains to me the importance of living a balanced life.  I also see that others inability to discuss issues can throw us out of balance and this is what the enemy uses. Other messed up people just like us.

The inner ear has two main parts. The cochlea , which is the hearing portion, and the semicircular canals is the balance portion.

With this being said what I do with what I hear is crucial to my balance. If someone else is less than honest and unwilling to have open communication I must listen for the whispers of God.

I shared a blog on New Year’s Day about hearing the whispers from My Father.

Listening is not an inactive action or idle mindless time, listening is crucial to our well being. It is a very active time. I must be about my Father’s business while dealing with issues. Some of the issues I deal with may try to throw me off balance. I however, at this stage of my life cannot afford to allow the actions or the inabilities of others to throw me off balance.

According to the Bible the heart is wicked beyond what we know. In Jeremiah 17:9 The Lord is speaking to Jeremiah when He says;

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it or understand it?

The Lord tells Jeremiah, He searches the heart and examines the mind to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.

Geneva Study Bible commentary says

“((i) Because the wicked always have some excuse to defend their doings he shows that their own lewd imaginations deceive them and bring them to these hardships: but God will examine their deeds by the malice of their hearts,)” quoting 1 Samuel 16:7. This is the verse The Lord speaks to Samuel about not looking on the outward condition saying He, The Lord, had rejected the one Samuel thought looked like the right one. People look on the outward appearance but The Lord looks at the heart.

We must beware our imaginations can deceive us.

Recently I was listening to a preacher on the radio; he was speaking about soul ties. At one time I found myself bound by very strong soul ties, so the topic is very interesting to me. Soul ties involve familiar spirits. Soul ties are extremely deceptive and deceiving. Most often these feelings are camouflaged and we interpret them as The Spirit of God. Soul ties involve our soul, which is our mind, will, and emotions, and do deceive us. This preacher said to beware because soul ties make your spirit rise up and then, imitate and take the place of The Holy Spirit. Then you believe it is God and you deceive yourself and others.

When this happens some start thinking God is telling them to do something or beware of someone.

Too often this is our immature spirit man talking and we are being deceived by the enemy. These are familiar spirits that landed or attached themselves to our souls during injury. Old wounds, or trauma that caused unexplainable pain and fear, that is not healed are breeding grounds for familiar spirits. The pain may be physical, or mental, or emotional. The spirits become embedded in our souls. The only way to recognize and expel these lies is through sound godly council, and the word of God, the living all powerful word. The word of God will divide the thought and intent of our own thoughts and hearts. Without The Helper, The Spirit of Truth, who will guide us into all truth, we are deceived by these soul ties and familiar spirits. We get duped and say it is God.

If we remain immature and isolated the more deception grows. We need people who oppose our thinking and vice versa. Being opposed and challenged is where we grow and where we know what we know. I don’t just think I know something. I know, and I can often bring an example of how God made me to know the thing, whatever it is.

Romans 14:23 tells us that what is not of faith, is sin. And again in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We also know that envy, jealously, and discords are considered witchcraft and works of the flesh.

So how can I know if I am being led by His Holy Spirit, or if another spirit is working within me? In the multitude of many counselors is safety.

How can I be sure I am pleasing God with my actions? How can I be certain?

I must go before The Father and admit that I might be wrong and be willing to talk to the other person. And guess what? You must be willing to do the same thing!

We must be willing to sit down and have an intelligent conversation. There could be underlying issues, other facts, that one or the other isn’t aware of. We must agree that there is a place where we can agree for the betterment of all. I may not get my way, and you may not get your way, but in the end God wins and we do not lose valuable team members or relationships. This can only happen when honest, respectable, open communication is allowed.

If we cannot do this or if we refuse to have open dialogue we are the problem not the solution or the resolution. Now think about the word, it is re-solution. Re-store, re-plenish, and rejoice, re- means to bring back to right standing, anew, again. The unwillingness to offer another solution or a re solution may indicate fear and be a sign that you are afraid of change. Fear of change is petty and immature. If either party has unwillingness to be open, honest, and transparent it will be a blessing blocker and a block to future growth and intimacy. In other words this unwillingness to be open and transparent may be the leading cause of  premature deaths among relationships.

“for I made the decision to know nothing [that is, to forego philosophical or theological discussions regarding inconsequential things and opinions while] among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified [and the meaning of His redemptive, substitutionary death and His resurrection].

In these out of balance times I am reminded that, “There are so many things I don’t know but there is One thing I do know. God is FAITHFUL and His word is His bond!”

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance toward you and give you Shalom.

Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette

Hello Spring. God’s Calendar Coming into View

See the winter is past: the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in land.” (Song of Songs 6:11-12 NIV)

Sweet smelling sights

Season of new birth

Welcome sweet springtime

What sayeth the earth

Worship only The Creator

Never bow to the created

We are only here to teach

How one can be liberated

img_8074

The flowers do bloom

And life is all around

All springing forth

Rising Up out of the ground

Now do you get it

Can you see

Springtime comes

To remind you and me

He did rise

From deaths cold grave

Welcome springtime

Death could not hold Him

The grave had no power

Springtime is earth’s celebration

Reminder of His finest hour

So hello springtime

Show us how again

Jesus did rise

Yes it’s all a picture of Him

So we would never forget

Believe in your heart

So you will never regret

The Bridegroom-King

From the Passion Bible

Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling.

Come away with Me!

I have come as you have asked

to draw you to My heart and lead you out

For now is the time, My beautiful one.

The season has changed,

the bondage of your barren winter has ended,

and the season of hiding is over and gone.

The rains have soaked the earth

and left it bright with blossoming flowers.

The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived.

I hear the cooing of doves in our land,

filling the air with songs to awaken you

and guide you forth.

Can you not discern this new day of destiny?

The early signs of my purposes and plans

are bursting forth.

The budding vines of new life

are now blooming everywhere

The fragrance of their flowers whispers,

“There is change in the air.”

Arise, My love, my beautiful companion,

and run with Me to the higher place.

For now is the time to arise and come away with Me! (Song of Songs 2:12-14 TPT)

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you Shalom.

Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette

Boo Haman

Bride of Christ Arise. They shall mount up with wings of eagles………………………..

Boo Haman

Before the King and His throne,
Haman’s plot has been made known.
Haman is not good or wanted here,
he is an enemy who’s end is near.

But God has raised up such a One,
The bride of His only begotten Son.
His Scepter extended on Golgotha’s Hill,
The Cross of Christ it is for real.

He knew how
To get His people to pray,
By fasting and prayer
Did open the way!

Haman’s plan
Failed for sure,
Because God is there
even seemingly obscure.

God didn’t let
The wicked win,
For such a time as this
Bride of Christ, rise in Him!

Poem written by laurette laster © 2018 Purim

Purim begins tonight at sundown, and our Jewish friends will be celebrating their deliverance from the plot and plans of Haman. The reading the book of Esther, twice daily is the custom during this celebration. I believe we should remember Mordecai’s words to Queen Esther. When the Jewish people (her people) were being threatened and in danger of being destroyed and wiped out while in Ancient Persia, I am reminded of the very things that are happening right now in our land, in the United States of America. Can you see the comparisons? Anti Semitism is now funded by our tax dollars as we pay salaries for congress and house representatives who are very anti Semitic and do not support nor uphold our very own constitution, How can you be employed by a Country that you do not defend their constitution? We the people of the United States, what has gone wrong? Abortion and murder of the innocent being called rights, the second amendment being threatened, standing with Christian beliefs is called hate speech. Have we been negligent on our watch? I believe without a doubt the answer is a resounding Yes.

In two thousand sixteen The Lord spoke to me and said to me, “The Church is Esther”. I was like of course it is. Those plotting to take God out of our schools and universities cannot truly block God’s power. They can only close the door on His presence. We as believers in Jesus Christ, pure blood bought believers, we are the power carriers. But are we using this power and the grant or rite of passage given to us?

I saw and I knew that the scepter the king held out to Esther is a beautiful picture of the Cross of Jesus held out that welcomed us into the kingdom and is offered still to others during this dispensation. We are in the ‘church age’ or the dispensation of God’s great grace. Think about it.

We are the bride of Christ, The Church of the Firstborn. We are not a beaten down battered wife. We are the bride of Christ Church, and we need to yield our rights as the bride. Who knows Church “but that we have come to the kingdom for such a time as this.”

We (The Church) have been called by The True God, who reconciled us (believers) through The Cross of Christ “for such a time as this.”

During a very supernatural time of prayers and illumination I knew The Lord was saying He isn’t judging the world, it is already judged. We as His bride and representative in the earth will be held accountable for allowing these things to happen. That’s pretty heavy, right? We have a responsibility to occupy until He comes.

How could we be so ignorant? This morning I thought of the wheat and tares. The scripture that came to mind was, “but while they slept.” (Matthew 13:5 Matthew 13:36-43) Church we must be fully awake and aware of the conditions of our country. We are fast losing ground as we nothing about this and those yet to be saved; their blood is on our hands.

In the book of Esther God is obscure and never mentioned by Name, but through the faithfulness of the kings bride, God’s chosen people were spared. The diabolical plot of Haman, who by the way was a descendant of Amalek from the Amalekites, was unveiled and came back on his own head and his family.

Esther 4:14 JUB
For if thou art silent at this time, then enlargement and deliverance shall arise to the Jews from another place, but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed; and who knows whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Psalm 23:4 GNB
Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, LORD, for you are with me. Your shepherd’s rod and staff protect me.

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you Shalom.

Slow Your Roll – Those Who Wait Upon The LORD

Slow Your Roll

(Those who wait upon The Lord)

Slow Your Roll

1547051774574

 All powerful God and Lord

Have your way within this soul

It is for You I live and breathe

Yes Sir I will slow my roll

When The Lord begins to move

In and on a doubters heart

Many a scoffer has been changed

And given a brand new start

With words like do you believe

Believe in what they may say

Believing is beginner’s faith

Has changed many a dark day

Just look up and you will see

The sun the moon the stars

And realize what never changes

Is out of mans reach and seems so far

Far away yet clearly visible

Causing us to look creating this hunger

Who on earth created the cosmos

And You just know

couldn’t have been a Big Bang blunder

Like your breath and beating hearts

These oft overlooked life giving elements

In unison without our agreement

Tucked away in His care, the relevant

No we do not choose Him

He looked and began to move

Upon the hearts He created

Beating to His wonderful groove

All powerful God and Lord

Have your way within this soul

It is for You I live and breathe

Yes Sir I will slow my roll

 Isaiah 40:31

But those that wait upon The Lord

Shall renew their strength;

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint.

John 15:16 Weymouth New Testament

It is not you who chose me, but it is I who chose you and appointed you that you might go and be fruitful and that your fruit might remain; so that whatever petition you present to the Father in my name He may give you.

This morning after writing this poem, I couldn’t help but think about new terminology and phrases. When The Lord gave me the last line, I realized God is always reaching out to each of us. And I know that The Lord Jesus Christ is cool, cooler than we can know. He is Holy and He is cool.

We know that we will be without excuse when we stand before Him, so therefore, He is reaching out to us, if we slow our roll. I had to go see exactly the meaning of the phrase, ‘slow your roll’. I trust God but I wasn’t exactly sure about ‘Slow Your Roll’ and the meaning. I felt sure I understood but also I have learned to search it out.

When we don’t know or understand ourselves we have a tendency to think or believe, God, doesn’t or wouldn’t understand us at all. He created us how could He not understand us.

The truth is His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Thank goodness for that. He is Holy and calls us to come out from among the world and the ways of the world.

Isaiah 55:8 The Lord tells us through His prophet Isaiah; “for My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says The a Lord.

When writing this poem the last stanza and line just flowed. When God begins to move upon your heart He will speak your language. Jesus will speak our language to engage us but He expects us to hunger for His ways and to learn what pleases Him.

The truth is, you may not understand or be aware of exactly how Cool God is.

Like Greg shared, there ain’t no high like The Most High!

God is cool enough to create you, right?

So with that being said I’d like to leave you with this thought;

Have you not known?

Have you not heard?

The Everlasting God, The LORD,

The Creator of the ends of the earth,

Neither faints nor is weary.

His understanding is unsearchable. Isaiah 49:28

I challenge you to go read the rest of it.

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you Shalom

Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette

Have You Any Evidence

Have You Evidence of His Great Exchange

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I have a question I want to ask

May we be upfront and personal

If I could I’d like to know

Have you felt His Hand so merciful

Can you say you’re being changed

Has your heart been thoroughly purged

Do you understand what I mean

If I say completely submerged

(Oh Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever, He bought me and sought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him, He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood)

I have a question I must ask

Is your heart being made new

Have you had a life changing encounter

Do you feel like a brand new you

Not another day with different clothes

I am talking now about a burning deep within

Where you sing that old time favorite

I was glad when they said to me come in

(Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, calling oh sinner come home.)

I was glad when they said unto me

Let us go into The House of The Lord

You know that old time chorus

Into His house with one accord

I must ask are we being changed

Or have we forgotten about His mercy

Have we lost our hunger and zeal

So full of the world no longer thirsty

(Living water flowing through, God we thirst for more of You, fill our hearts with one desire)

I have a question burning in me

I must asked are we being changed

Because if we are simply playing church

This is Blasphemy, taking Jesus name in vain

(Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow)

I have a question I want to ask

Can we say we have really been changed

Have you given this any thought

I must ask, have you evidence of His Great Exchange

In light of so much controversy surrounding sin, yes sin and “The Church” or a group of some people who hang out and say this is church, I cannot but help feel somewhat ashamed.

Have we any evidence?

Where is the burning desire to be purified from the life of sin? Where is the hunger and the thirst, for Living Water? Have we shown or shared the evidence we have? Or have we like many others decided we don’t want to make sinners uncomfortable, thereby just pacifying them with lukewarm words?

The church is not supposed to be a comfortable lounge atmosphere as we watch the deceived being lured in by Satan while on their way to hell. The church isn’t a coffee break while awaiting a verdict. The ekklesia, the body of true believers, have been called out, and given a ministry and a job to do. As blood bought believers, we are given the ministry of reconciliation. We have been reconciled to God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, and we are called and have a calling. We are called and co-missioned, joint heirs with Christ, commissioned into the work of Jesus Christ, to snatch others out of the fire, hold back those who are going to the slaughter. It is true this isn’t palatable today, but hey, who are we living for? Better yet how did we become alive? Not by buying the lie that sin is ok.

Thank God for Altar calls.

I knew what I was doing wrong. I knew I needed help. I wanted to get into church and get The Spirit of God in me, and come out of sin. Thank God for alter calls that said if you need to be right with God you need to come to the front. Thank God for someone saying, may I pray for you. Thank God for the reading of the word that gave me hope with conviction. Thank God for those willing to confront my wrong behavior and correct my sin. Thank God for the day when it wasn’t, everyone just repeat after me and say this prayer and never making it official.

I pray for Holy Ghost power in the pulpit. I am calling for the revival of our souls. A revival that will get us up out of our pews and that brings and calls others along with us to the altar. Getting us up and going to the altar, why, because we refuse a lukewarm watered down feel good gospel.

We need help, we need hope, and we need The Power of Salvation through the work of Jesus Christ and the baptism of fire to fill our Churches. And that my friends is ekkelsia

The word for Church is ekklesia a noun, Greek word # 1577 in Strong’s Concordance,  ekklesia or Ecclesia and has the meaning of the ones called out. The definition is, an assembly, a (religious) congregation, The Church or the whole body of believers. Who do we believe in? Jesus Christ. What do we believe about Jesus Christ and His work on the Cross? That He died for our sins and we can receive the gift of salvation by believing in His death, burial and resurrection.

If others can come into the house of God and be comfortable with sin or engage in sin while in the house, we have something other than the Power of God in our midst.
We have become powerless and are disconnected from God.

As a believer in Jesus Christ we are the temple of The Holy Spirit and we house the Spirit of The Living God within us.

Have You Any Evidence?

How can we be like others? How can we blend in? The answer is simple; we cannot! It is impossible to look like the world and be a Christian.

Anybody can say they believe or call themselves believers, without understanding that in order to believe in Jesus Christ, there must have been a work of repentance. In order to believe in Jesus Christ we must have a change of mind, a metanoia, and then we desire to cast off dead works and sin, and to repent of our sins. It is impossible to believe without repentance.

So my friends Have We Any Evidence?

In order to call your gathering a church, it is widely accepted that you are attending a body of believers; people who believe in the work of Jesus Christ. As believers, we are evidenced by change, and known as those who are denouncing sin, not engaging in sin but are called out of sin. Jesus has quickened us and made us alive to Him.

You He hath quickened, You were once dead because of your failures and sins, stupidity, trespasses, offenses, disobedience, in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of the world and of the rule of the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the people of disobedience.

So do you go to church? Do you know what church is? If you love your sin and plan on staying in sin, you are dead in your sins and trespasses. You are without hope if you deny the gift of God’s great mercy through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who died that you and I can be pardoned. Jesus didn’t come for the righteous but for me and you, the sinners who were without hope. But Jesus didn’t die that agonizing death so that we could be pardoned to live in sin, He ransomed us out of sin. No one in their right mind would want to lie in filth and feces.

If this is you, your heart has been hardened and you need to ask God to bring you to repentance. If you have been taught to justify your sin, you need to ask for God to give you a new heart of truth. If you are confused and have bought the lie, then repent and go to a Church where you can learn truth.

A true believer is one who is called out, to come out of the lifestyle of sin and serve The Living God. None of us will ever be perfect, but we do not love our sin or desire to remain in our sinful disbelief. We have received the work of Jesus Christ being made our sacrifice and do not again want to trample underfoot the blood of Christ.

And we as true believers have a calling to help reconcile you to the Cross of Christ and to come out of your sin.

If this sounds like hate to you, you have bought the lie. A loving Father hates what is destroying His children. The purest form of love is discipline, not punishment but discipline.

What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God and they will be My people.” Come out from among them and be ye separate and I will receive you unto Myself, and I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, say the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:16-18

Amen, will you be the Church?

Have You Any Evidence?

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.The Lord lift up His countenance on you and give you Shalom.

A Heart on Loan

from The My Forever Valentine Series ©

1fcf5533-344b-4014-9a3c-4ca57346249f

This heart that lies upon my chest

Once belonged to my mother

I am reminded often and reminisce

How she loved me when could no other

A mother’s love is called to be

The picture of safety and security

We however now miss the mark

Leaving the sacred place of purity

A mother’s love is like no other

Phrases Hallmark cards still dare to pen

But now are they simple words lacking

Overflowing in overstocked bins

What has happened to our hearts

Now worn and used as weapons

Weren’t they designed to love

To teach us and give us lessons

biblelens_2019_02_21_12_16_17_0390

Titus describes we are to teach

So Godly love much be taught

Have we rewritten ‘Bible Truth’

To say what we think it ought?

Are we unwilling to speak the truth

Worrying about hurting someone’s feelings

Do we limit ‘The Word’ to have power

No matter if it seems unappealing

The Word is not food for the flesh

It is training for my soul

My mind, and will, and emotions

To guide me as I go

5e30be59-5c60-47e9-84d1-7b0ff5947fbc

I need the truth of the Cross of Christ

To discipline and feed my spirit

Nurturing and pampering the carnal nature

Is like shopping at racks marked clearance

Think again about your heart

And listen for just a minute

Hidden within those four chambers ‘The Word’

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are written in it.

This heart that beats inside my chest

Once belonged to my Father

It is given to me only on loan

To reveal I am His. A son or daughter

c3abd159-8b68-4285-9542-bed5a1931d4e

He placed this heart inside my chest

Connected to His love and guidance

So please if you’re going to feed me

Do not keep ‘The Word’ obscured with silence

So Speak ‘The Word’ I hunger, feed me truth

Selfish desires must leave so I can grow

Jesus is ‘The Word’ made flesh

He loves me for the bible tells me so

I want to deny myself and my carnal nature

Feed only on ‘The Word’ God’s power

I will not stomach a watered down gospel

That leaves tHIS Body weak in our final hour!

In today’s society we are hearing so many teachings, or sermons, that do not teach what the bible says. I hear a spin put on a truth of God that makes it powerless, especially to a hungry heart. I am so hungry for an encounter with The True, All Powerful Creator of heaven and earth. I want an encounter with The Creator of mankind. I want to know Him more.

In our hearts we know, and can see, with evidence, whether we are growing or simply surviving. For many years I survived by shear grit and tenacity, with no knowledge of God’s pure love, through the Cross of Jesus Christ. Not understanding that Jesus came to seek and to save the lost, sinners (low life sinners), not the righteous. He was searching for and looking for sinners, and that was me. I was lost and without hope. It was the grace of God that led me to repent. His goodness when I knew I didn’t deserve it, now that is grace.  I was afraid to confess my sins. But He met me right where I was. In that encounter, at that moment,  I knew, that He knew. Then I started feeling safe with Jesus, who already knew how low I could go, yet still wanted a relationship with me. Those with a repentant heart will see God.

2 Timothy 4:2-4 the apostle Paul is preparing Timothy to preach, he explains what the word of God is to do. Correction does not always feel good, but it is necessary. Have you had your heart convicted recently?  Not condemned, but convicted. If you answered yes, that is good and will lead to a more excellent outcome in your affairs. That simply means that Holy Spirit is living inside of you and showing you the correct path of life.

2) Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction.

3) For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.

4) So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…

The word should teach, reprove, rebuke, and encourage. What a powerful truth. Listen to that beacon in your heart, the one that cries out Abba Father, He is calling for you.

That loneliness you’re feeling in your heart may well be the cry of your heart, for The Father. My heart is screaming I am thirsty for living water. The Living Water from the eternal springs of life, from the well of my salvation.

That just may be your heart’s desire also, and you are being summoned from The Father. I know I am.

God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May His countenance rise upon you and give you Shalom.

Until next time, thank you for listening with me. Laurette
